Identiti Bikes have long been known for their hardtails, so it come as a bit of a surprise to see a pre production downhill bike amongst their lineup at Core Bike Show this weekend. Pre Production Identiti Downhill Bike The pre production frame with 7.5" of rear travel was built up just days before the show, so details were limited, but with a rumoured retail price of just over £1000.00 for the frame and Rockshox Vivid R2C shock, it looks set to appeal to riders on a budget or taking their first steps into downhill racing. Pre Production Identiti Downhill Bike Dave Franciosy from Ison Distribution explained that the Identiti team riders will be testing the bikes throughout the 2011 season to gain feedback before the frame goes in to production, ready hopefully for 2012. When asked about where the inspiration came about for the striking paint job, Dave told us "Pat Campbell-Jenner (Team 4X Rider) had a bottle of Mountain Dew on his desk, and just thought why not try and match the bright fluorescent glow on the label". You certainly won't miss their team riders this season that's for sure! Pre Production Identiti Downhill Bike Pre Production Identiti Downhill Bike For more details visit: www.identitibikes.com

I can't see the like-ness of a Sunday on that bike. To sit it feels really comfortable and will be interesting to see how it gets rated on this years BDS series.
